Isuzu SA has place 72 candidates for the first time this year to support the Youth Employment Services.
President Ramaphosa launched the YES programme in 2018 in order to offer young South Africans paid work experience.
Isuzu Motors SA’s GM of Training and organisational development Wayne Osborne says that the company full supports all transformation initiatives in the economy and believes our youth deserves the opportunities that could accelerate employability. This programme creates a pipeline of talent for the future.
The programme is a twelve-month opportunity – 72 of the students have been placed within the dealer network countrywide, and 52 across the company.
These students are provided with the insight into a big corporation while getting practical work experience and they are all given the guidance and support needed by mentors and professionals within the company.
